Web Development Manager


A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced Web Development Manager to join my client, a leading Global organisation, based in its Suffolk offices.

You will be required to work proactively within the Web Development Team on building and maintaining websites across the group while adhering to company coding standards and industry best practice. You will be required to interact with internal customers in the business to help shape and gather requirements and to provide accurate and trusted estimates to feed into project and delivery timescales.

Key tasks, responsibilities and accountabilities

*Drive excellent customer experiences by integrating backend .net controls into the front end websites of the brands using JavaScript (including AJAX techniques), HTML and CSS in accordance with applicable software development methodology, standards and release processes

*Bring wireframes to life, enhancing and building on the design vision, to create seamless and effective web front ends

*Work effectively with the backend web developers to create a joint vision and output of the final end product

*Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer reviews, providing comments and suggestions.

*Provides reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem solving techniques.

*Serve as a mentor to less experienced front end developers

*Provide estimates for new development tasks, offer suggestions to improve processes, and provide comments on design aspects.

*Works collaboratively and professionally with other UK associates in cross functional teams to achieve goals.

*Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions in a timely fashion

*Perform other duties as part of the web development function as necessary

Qualifications, Education, training, skills and experience required

?Degree in related technical discipline or equivalent experience
?Significant development experience using JavaScrip and AJAX, HTML and CSS
?Experience developing the front end of one or more commercial websites
?Clear understanding of third-party tags and tag management

*MS Certification or other professional development certification
*Use of Sitecore content management
?Understanding of ITIL principles
